COSTAR Help Files
The Support Team at Microhouse have crafted the help file “Areas to reconcile and keep-an-eye-on in COSTAR.” This help file was created from our clients asking “am I doing it right?” The file covers everything from Accounting, Work-in-Progress (WIP) entries, Day End Procedures, Inventory Management/Stock Control and more.
Once you’re on top of these areas, it should be smooth sailing for you and if there are bumps, you’ll be able to easily identify them and resolve them quickly. Now, this list wasn’t intended to be overwhelming, we just wanted to be thorough for you. Our suggestion would be to pick one area and run the suggested reports to see if you are on top of things. If you aren’t, then you know where you should next concentrate and become the master of that area before you move onto the next. COSTAR Optimisation Reports/Free Health Check
Microhouse Support is always trying to ensure you are using COSTAR to the best of its ability. Every six months our Support Team prepares an Optimisation Report for your business. Optimisation Reports are the result of Microhouse reviewing your COSTAR System settings and making recommendations based on your current settings and usage of COSTAR. The purpose of the report is to highlight areas where your COSTAR System settings can be optimised to provide you with an efficient work platform (note, it is not an analysis of your business).
When undertaking this report, we will give you a summary of the key elements and your action required categorised into “Ok,” “Suggested” and “Required.”
With each category, a detailed explanation will be provided along with your current practices, recommendations and how to implement these recommendations.
In doing so, we assist our clients to meet their ever-changing business requirements and reduce the overall cost impact of technological changes.
